R Baby Foundation Webcast Live From New York

R Baby Foundation

The Pediatric ER. Some of us have been there for a few hours, some of us have been there for a few days. I remember when my daughter, just 13 months old, had a fever related seizure right in front of me. I lifted her up and her body felt stiff and she wasn’t responding to me. I had never felt so scared in my entire life. I immediately called for help and my neighbors downstairs came running and called Hatzalah for me. Within minutes, an EMT was in my house and we were on our way to the Pediratric ER. Thank G-d, they had the resources to check her out and determine that a bad stomach virus had made her severly dehydrated. The nurses and doctors were great and we were back home within a few hours.

What would have happened if we were in a remote area or the nearest hospital was no equipped with the necessary equipment. The thought of this frightens me even today. Thank G-d, there is a non-profit organization that focuses on these issues and you can be a part of it today.
