There is nothing like a competition to make a snow bound day of a mom with three kids, ages five and under, even more exciting. The big news in New York last week was not just about the blizzard, but that jdeal.com launched their “Battle of the Bloggers” Competition. On December 28, jdeal, the premiere online discount site offering daily deals geared towards the Jewish consumer, is looking for the blogger who will be jdeal’s ambassador for 2011! Could it be me? Even if I don’t win, it is so fun to be a part of this competition. I have learned about so many new blogs like kosheronabudget.com and frugalskate.com. So, what makes this blogger competition different from all other blogger competitions?
The “Battle of the Bloggers” is a competition that will run online for three weeks in the search for the blogger who believes he or she is the most influential and best-suited blogger for the title. There will be nine finalists and the winner will be officially announced at the jdeal launch party in New York on Thursday, January 13, 2011. Not only will the jdeal Ambassador 2011 be hailed as a maven in the blogging world, but cash prizes will be awarded. Now, that is something to blog about!!!
To be qualified to enter, contestants will have to follow these simple steps:
- ‘Like’ the jdeal Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/jdealny
- Go to the Notes page and add a comment under the Competition Note on the jdealny Facebook Page “Help me win the ‘Battle of the Bloggers’ competition.” Be sure to add your blog’s URL in the post.
- Write about jdeal in your Facebook status and tag jdealny
The competition will run for three weeks on the jdeal Facebook Page where bloggers can nominate themselves. What is a little shameless self promotion? Week two of the competition has already kicked-off and week three will start on January 5, 2011. The top three bloggers whose posts on the jdeal Facebook Page have received the most “likes” will be the finalists for the week, with prizes of $100 cash and $100 in jdeal credit, and an entry to compete for the grand prize. Each week’s finalists are not permitted to re-enter the competition. At the end of the contest, the top nine bloggers will battle for the grand prize of $500 cash and $500 jdeal credit, plus $1 for each “like” the jdeal Facebook Page has received by the end of the competition. There are also extra opportunities for the winner to receive cash prizes, so please read the Terms & Conditions on the jdeal Facebook Page. The winner will be the blogger who provides the most convincing case of becoming the jdeal brand ambassador for the year.
The weekly winners will then have until January 13, 2011 at 3pm EST to prove why they are the best suited to be the jdeal Brand Ambassador for 2011. Our champion will be revealed at the jdeal launch party.
All entrants must have a blog and be over 18 years of age at the start of the competition.
