My Little Flower Girl

When I heard about The Flower Show in Philadelphia this year, I thought of my daughter and her love of flowers. Last Spring, I had to teach her not to pick every flower she saw along on our walks to school in the morning. That is why I call her my little flower girl. From the beautiful previews I have shown her from The Flower Show this year, she is beyond thrilled. . I love that she is so engulfed by nature.

I am so excited that I will be able to take her to some of the kid friendly events at The Flower Show this year in Philadelphia. We plan on making a day trip from New York. If you haven’t heard of the great activities for families and children, here are some of the ones we would love to check out.

I really want to check out the Einstein Healthcare Network Family Lounge, powered by Sprout. My daughter is all about arts and crafts, and this lounge has all that and more. Kids can play with new toys, create a puppet show, or even watch their favorite movies. This isn’t the only activity for kids this year.

In conjunction with the upcoming release of Universal Studio’s 2012 Release of “The Lorax”. There will be a meet-and-greet with the Lorax himself. Other characters will be on hand from PBS Kids Sprout television on Sundays, March 4 and March 11 from 2-5pm.

Families can also catch a very special reading of “The Lorax” by two very special guests: WXPN Kids’ Corner host Kathy O’Connell on march 4 and Lisa Nutter, wife of the Mayor, on March 11. Great news, no special tckets are required for Family Day. You can, however, purchase the special Family Fun Pak and gain even more access to a variety of special events happening during The Flower Show.
