Kids Meet “The Lorax” Today At The Philadelphia Flower Show
It sure does feel like Spring today in New York. The only problem is that the trees in New York are just starting to bud. A couple hours away from New York via car, The Philadelphia Flower Show is bursting with all things growing strong. Even though today is the last day, the activities for everybody from dad to the kids will make a lasting impression. This year’s theme is all about Hawaii. Not a bad place to be in just a two hour drive from New York!
If you live within driving distance of The Philadelphia Flower Show, hop in the car and visit the show today. Open now until 6:00 pm today, the Pennsylvania Convention Center is located at 12th & Arch Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19107-2299.
If dad, or mom, isn’t the one with the green thumb, they can find plenty to do at the Man Cave. This year, that haven will be the Man Cave in Room 204B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The Man Cave features great, guy-friendly activities, although women are of course welcome too. HiFi House will create the ultimate home theater with a projection screen approaching 100 inches and the latest in digital surround sound. Screens throughout the room will air Philadelphia Flyers and Sixers games and a roster of NCAA Conference Tournament matches. Theater-style seating will be provided for visitors.
SugarHouse Casino will sponsor table games—poker and blackjack with professional dealers. All of the buy-in for the games will go toward the PHS City Harvest program, which provides fresh produce for families in need. Players also will be eligible for prizes.
In addition, golfers will be able to improve their stroke in virtual competitions courtesy of the “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” video game. The full bar will include beer, wine, and special Hawaiian-themed cocktails. Not far from here are the abundance of family friendly activities with some fabulous surprises for everybody.
